Therapist Role Description
Galloway, NJ Office
This is a part-time, hybrid Therapist role, with opportunities for some remote work.
In-person hours are required at one of our office locations listed above.
Therapists provide individual, couples, and family therapy tailored to the needs of clients. Responsibilities include conducting client assessments, meeting with clients for ongoing treatment, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with colleagues to support the holistic well-being of clients.
This role requires delivering compassionate care and fostering a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore personal challenges.
The position begins as part-time, with the goal of transitioning to a full-time role within approximately six months, based on caseload growth and mutual fit.
Qualifications
Strong skills in therapeutic techniques, counseling strategies, and clinical assessment
Ability to create individualized treatment plans and deliver appropriate interventions
Excellent communication, listening, and empathy skills
Experience working with diverse populations and a range of presenting concerns, must be open to working with couples.
Comfort functioning as a generalist, with interest in developing niche or specialized training over time
Licensed in the state of employment as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent
Pre-licensed clinicians considered with strong clinical skills
Proficiency in maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Willingness to work from an in-office setting at the assigned location
Compensation Structure
A Better Life Therapy’s Easton, PA office
Part-Time
Paid at a fee-for-service rate
Supervision provided if needed for licensure
Full-Time: Guaranteed Salary + True-Up Model
Once full-time, clinicians move to a guaranteed salary with a true-up system—offering the best of both worlds between fee-split and consistent pay.
You receive consistent weekly pay, every week
You still earn your full fee split for the work you do
If your earned revenue exceeds your salary, you receive a true-up payout
You never experience unpaid weeks due to cancellations, holidays, or fluctuations
This structure provides both financial stability and earning upside, without sacrificing transparency or fairness.
