“Healing is possible, and you can get to a place that you desire! I will be here every step of the way to help you figure out what that place is and how you can get there.”
I work collaboratively with individuals in creating a safe space to explore thoughts and emotions, express all feelings, recognize strengths, and foster personal growth. I am passionate about empowering individuals to better understand and accept themselves and make changes in order to live their most fulfilling lives.
I strive to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, accepted, and comfortable to openly discuss anything that is on your mind. During therapy, we will work together to help you develop a greater understanding of who you are and what you want. I will aid you in identifying and letting go of limiting thoughts and stories that have gotten in your way, and we will work together to develop coping strategies and healthier ways of being in order to live the life you desire. In sessions, I utilize a wide variety of techniques and skills from a person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, systemic, trauma-informed, multicultural, and strengths-based lens. I also believe that each individual is unique; therefore, I use an eclectic approach in order to meet each individual’s needs.
I believe that one of my most valuable strengths as a therapist is that I understand what it is like to be human. By showing up as my most authentic self, I am showing up as a fellow human being who understands the difficulties that life can throw at us. During therapy, I want each individual to feel the presence of another human being who can understand what they are going through even if I have not experienced it myself. I feel that this human-to-human connection, which is free of distractions and is focused on listening and understanding is so powerful. Therefore, it is my philosophy that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic journey, so we will work together to create a strong, collaborative relationship through warmth, respect, authenticity, and humor.
Who I work with:
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples who are seeking to overcome challenges with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, self-esteem, life transitions, and trauma. Together, we can identify your goals, uncover your values, and take steps towards building a life in accordance with your values. It would be my pleasure to be a part of your journey of self-discovery, health, and healing. I am excited to assist you in recognizing your strengths, feeling greater freedom to be the whole person that you are, developing confidence that you can cope with the uncertainties and challenges of life, as well as creating a future that feels right for you.
