Myth #4: Things will get better when...

Myth #4: Things will get better when...... we get married... have kids... make more money... move... and any other happening in the future. The truth is if things are rough now then making a major life transition will most likely not improve it. Tangling yourselves up more than you already are isn’t going to make life easier. In fact, it often increases stress. The issues you argue about usually aren’t the problem. The problem is ineffective communication habits. Adding a wedding certificate or baby won’t change these communication habits. To make your relationship feel better, it’s important to find ways that you can handle and manage stress with each other in more effective manners. Then you can add all of the exciting next steps for your relationship.
