Meet Deepal

Deepal Pandya, MA

“Sharing your struggles makes room for a restorative connection that allows others to understand your journey. While it may seem intimidating, it can also be liberating.”

Multiple factors can affect an individual’s overall well-being, including relationships, life experiences, physical health, cultural values, and intergenerational issues. As a psychotherapist, I appreciate the intricate connection between these parts of our lives and their relationship to our mental health. Depending on the circumstances, symptoms related to our mental well-being may appear gradually or without warning. Individuals may struggle with overwhelming thoughts, maintaining relationships, emotional regulation, and impulse control. These symptoms are even linked to how the body handles difficult emotions. Unresolved emotions can disguise themselves as physical issues like muscle tension, exhaustion, and chronic health issues. Depending on the symptoms, I know how powerless it can feel and how challenging it is to reach out for help. Sharing your struggles makes room for a restorative connection that allows others to understand your journey. While it may seem intimidating, it can also be liberating.

My identity as a first-generation Indian American and my past advocacy work in women’s healthcare and education have strongly influenced my practice. I am drawn to the power of human connection and resilience, which provides a foundation for a curious and integrative framework. With individuals or couples, I work towards understanding how their layers, complexities, and developmental years have shaped them. I want to get to know you and how you got here. Creating an empathetic and safe space allows clients to identify how emotional wounds and physical manifestations have resulted in harmful thoughts, patterns, or behaviors. With a deep interest in cultural nuances and developmental milestones, I strive to increase awareness and provide skills for resilience and healing. Together, we can begin a transformative process that honors you and leads to holistic well-being.

Who I work with:

I offer psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, and couples, focusing on anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and addictive behaviors. These challenges often lead to isolation and difficulties expressing needs, especially when rooted in developmental trauma. My approach is humanistic, holistic, and trauma-informed. I believe in honoring your experiences and adapting my role to the needs of each individual and couple.

My rate per 50 minute session is $150.00
