Ariel Stern, LPC is a marriage therapist in at our office on the Main Line in Ardmore, PA. Ariel is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania, a Certified Gottman Therapist, and has extensive training in eco-systemic therapy (family therapy) and the use of substances. She is the Clinical Director of the Ardmore office and supports and trains clinicians to develop their marriage counseling skills.
Ariel supports couples who are struggling with conflict and feel completely stuck on how to move forward. She often works with couples who are dealing with challenging experiences such as substance use, the birth of a new child, or an upsetting even that is occurring within their family.

She is Certified in The Gottman Method to support couples as they navigate they relationship challenges. She is the author of the book I Want This To Work and another forthcoming book expected in 2024. She is the Clinical Director of A Better Life Therapy, an Approved Supervisor and Clinical Fellow for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and a frequent contributor to publications like The New York Times, The LA Times, USA Today, and more.
Elizabeth specializes in working with “high achieving” couples who tend to be under a lot of stress due to the demands of work and life. She supports these couples in learning how to navigate conflict, overcome miscommunication, and build less stressful lives together.

Catherine Herling, LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware and she supports couples across the Main Line outside of Philadelphia. She is highly trained to support couples who are navigating complex issues. As a Medical Family Therapist and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, she is especially skilled in supporting couples who are navigating diagnoses that might create challenges in their ability to connect or communicate with each other. She helps people navigate stress and build a bridge towards each other to improve connection.
Catherine is also Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has been trained up to Level 2 in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
