Workshop description:

During this workshop, renowned couples therapist & author of I Want This To Work, Elizabeth Earnshaw, LMFT, CGT will teach you how to navigate triangulation in couples therapy.

During this session, clinicians will learn how to recognize triangulation and how to artfully step out of triangulation so their couples therapy sessions do not become problematic. This will enhance the strength of the therapeutic alliance and the appropriateness of therapy.

Learning objectives:

1. How to recognize triangulation in the couples therapy space

2. What triangulation can look like within the life of the couple and within the therapeutic relationship

3. How to artfully step out of triangulation so that the sessions do not become problematic

Target audience:

Licensed and unlicensed mental health professionals

Learning level:

Introductory to advanced. This workshop should be accessible to early career professionals and offer new skills and principles for more experienced persons.
