Louis Hewett, LPC

I work with individuals who are, or have, experienced the effects of anxiety, panic, depression, mood disorders, various life adjustments, different levels of ability, and systemic oppression.  I want to understand how these experiences have impacted you, and as a therapist, I’m here to support you as you work through the outcomes of those pivotal moments. I studied a modernized psychodynamic approach to therapy which allows me to work with you to understand your ‘big picture.’ Our work, together, will aim to examine and address that ‘big picture’ in a way that is manageable to you.

My personal goal is to always provide my clients with a space where they feel safe and supported to express themselves, free of judgment, bias, and prejudice. Through my training as a person-centered therapist, I actively strive to meet you where you are in life, and I believe that your own insight is the most valuable tool we have in creating a successful therapeutic experience.

Focus Areas

I work with adults, couples, queer individuals, and families that are working through aspects of trauma, grief, life adjustments and overarching anxieties that can result from such challenging experiences. My goal is to provide a safe space as we collaborate to identify the steps to enact the changes you want to see. I recognize just how difficult starting the counseling process can be, so I want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about me, and I look forward to working with you!

I provide appointments at our Center City office along with the option for online sessions. I am licensed to work with clients in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

My rate per 50 minute session is $170.00
