“Your experience is unique, and by learning the dynamics of your story, we can honor your life and your transformation.”

We all desire to feel understood, to be seen, and to be loved. So many individuals and couples go through life stressors and trauma that can become barriers to feeling appreciated and respected for our authentic selves. These barriers can limit our communication and our self-image. We may want to shut down, criticize ourselves/our partners, or feel worthless during these times. These barriers may lead to us feeling alone and frustrated. We may feel like our needs don't matter, but they do. Your experiences and feelings are valid, and I would be honored to create a safe space to support you.

I focus on building trust, commitment, and acceptance with the individuals and couples I work with. I have worked in addiction, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care to help people navigate through stressors, increase self-esteem, understand how to emotionally regulate to honor their needs, process trauma and the daily impacts of our experiences, and create meaningful relationships.

As an intern at Drexel University, I use a systemic lens to listen and understand your life as biological, psychological, cultural, and social factors impact your mind, body, and soul. I also incorporate a Gottman approach with couples to create an awareness of our needs and to amplify acceptance and trust. With individuals, I enjoy using post-modern approaches like Narrative as this framework highlights that you are the expert of your story.

My goal is to provide you with tools that fit your needs and desires and are tangible and practical to use in everyday life. I particularly enjoy working with couples who are navigating life transitions (job loss, marriage, a new child), infidelity, addiction, and LGBTQ+ couples. Together, we can work to build tools to positively increase accountability, consistency, and active listening/communication to make you feel accepted.
