“Everyone has their own stories; which one do you wish to write?”

There are many challenges that can come our way in life. We learn and heal as we travel on life’s journey in discovering ourselves and others. Understanding our emotions can allow us to better understand the reasons for our patterns of thinking and behavior. I believe that movement is a powerful component to integrate into therapy because it is a nonverbal form of expression and communication. Often times, if we have difficulty forming the words we desire to say, movement is a great tool that can aid us in that process. Even a small gesture can be impactful.

As we begin our therapeutic venture together, I enjoy integrating artistic expression as a part of my therapy process, but utilize other therapeutic methods, as well. I am passionate about getting to know you! Learning together as we go. Each individual’s experience in life is unique and different than the rest. Everyone has their own stories; which one do you wish to write? I aim to work through and cope with struggles that we are met with and learn how these experiences shape the stories that unfold for us.

I am currently a graduate student at Rider University pursuing my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling and Dance Movement Therapy. I am also pursuing a certification as a School Assistance Coordinator. I received a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate at Rider University. I have had experience working the NAMI Mercer Helpline, lent a listening ear and offered individuals in the community with resources to help guide them on their healing journey. I also provided art activities for patients to do at my local hospital to promote their creativity and clear their headspace. I enjoy working with all individuals and have personal experience working with children and the elderly. Together, we can learn, grow and heal.
