Individual therapy (sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to dealing with depression or anxiety, to managing relationships in a healthier way, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge. A client and therapist may work together for as few as five or six sessions or as long as several years, depending on the client’s unique needs and personal goals for therapy.
Our therapists are warm, empathetic, and understanding. We believe that you are the expert of your own life and are genuinely interested in your experiences and your goals. We tailor each therapy session for you, as an individual, and we work hard to collaborate with and support you.
How do I start?
We have designed the process of getting an appointment at our office to be as easy as possible. We understand that beginning therapy can at times feel daunting, so making the first appointment should be stress free.
You can make an appointment by:
- calling our confidential voicemail system and leaving a message: 267-838-0066
- E-mailing our office at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Scheduling Online
Once your therapist receives your appointment request she will reach out with the paperwork and office information that you will need for your first appointment. It’s as easy as that!
Do you accept insurance?
We are out of network providers and do not accept insurance directly at our practice. All fees are due at the time of service and range from $100 – $150.00 for the hour. We do have a limited number of sliding scale spaces available for clients that have financial need. You can read more about fee information on each therapist’s page or by visiting this page.
We are happy to provide you with a receipt called a “superbill” that you can submit directly to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
