Struggling with overwhelming feelings, difficult life transitions, or relationships is not abnormal; but it can take a major toll on the quality of your life and your sense of well-being. In my experience, therapy can provide relief, clarity, and empowerment. I work collaboratively with you to understand your unique struggles and help you to navigate through them. By understanding your long-standing patterns of thinking, relating, feeling and behaving, we can identify roadblocks that may be keeping you stuck and discover new possibilities for your life and your relationships.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing on relational psychodynamic theory but integrating family systems, cognitive, and behavioral perspectives to fit your individual set of strengths and challenges. I believe that in order for therapy to be successful, you must feel you are in a safe, supportive and collaborative space, and try to provide that with warmth, curiosity and authenticity.
I work with a broad range of adult clients, with significant experience working with those who have experienced childhood trauma. I also have a special interest in helping people struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
