Offering solidarity, not judgement, in whatever struggle you may be contending with.
I offer an alternative to traditional talk therapy by helping you reframe your problem in addition to providing you with additional support to discover new ways to relate to your struggle by utilizing your skills and expertise along with my training in a collaborative, curious, and personalized process. Together, we will create a safe space for you to engage this process on your own terms allowing you to maintain your authenticity and integrity in a meaningful dialogue without judgment or expectation of a prescribed outcome. You are your greatest resource and together, we will find a way to move you down your preferred path, whatever that path may be.
My past experience includes working with individuals struggling with the effects of anxiety, worry, depression, shame, trauma, addiction, injustice, heteronormativity, masculinity, productivity, sexism, racism and questions of intersecting identities. The way these forces interact with each other can often lead us to mental health struggles- we are overwhelmed with expectations, judgement and oppression. We can feel alone, helpless and hopeless. It is a tall order to fight these problems alone. In finding solidarity, in discussing the specifics of your struggle, I know that we we will better equipped to find new ways of relating to or fighting the problem.I have also worked with couples, parents and children, and individuals going through life and career transitions, as well as relationship dissolutions.
In our time together, we will be having conversations designed to attain awareness, so that more options and choices open up for you to take the preferred path you may have in mind for yourself. You are invited to tell me the story of your life and what you might be hoping would be different. I will offer gentle support through specific questions along the way, without judging your journey. Expectations can be mutually agreed on, so the process can be transparent and empowering.
