Taking the step to attend therapy is the first in achieving a level of inner peace. If you are constantly feeling deep sadness, emptiness, struggles with the daily motions of life, etc. talking about it can make it so much better. I strive to create a safe space in my session for others to freely express themselves and discover the deep source of their distress. I am here to help you work through the burden you are feeling and find ways to relieve inner pain.
I also work with families who are struggling to feel connected and use a systemic approach to get families to increase their attachment, co-caregiver alliance, executive functioning and co-regulation. I have experience working with children who have experienced traumatic events and need help finding ways to express themselves. I work with the child and their family to increase attachment and help the child feel supported by their family.
Moreover, as a Latina female, I am aware of the difficulties of being a minority. Coming to a new country and/or being raised in the United States and feeling like no one can relate to you can be difficult to manage. Seeking a comfortable, relatable space to explore these discomforts can lead to a lifelong journey of healing.
I am here to listen and help you process the difficulties of life. I believe that being able to talk things out leads to major discoveries about our self, our past, present and future. I am always impressed with the courage of my clients and am grateful to learn with them during their therapeutic process.
